Pasco County, Florida Selects TaxSys®

Grant Street Group, the leading provider of web-based tax collection software in Florida, announced today that the Pasco County Tax Collector has signed a contract for a comprehensive suite of tax collection software. This includes TaxSys® a state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system; and PaymentExpress®, a full service e-payment processing solution for credit cards, debit cards, and e-checks.

Pasco County, the 12th largest county in Florida, will become the 19th Florida County Tax Collector’s Office to switch to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. The data conversion component of the project will take place in 2014 and implementation of TaxSys will begin in January 2015, with an anticipated completion date of September 2015.

“Moving to TaxSys is an enormously important project for our office since the underlying technology infrastructure of our old tax system will be retired in the next few years,” said Mike Fasano, Pasco County Tax Collector. “TaxSys is a highly advanced, customer driven system that will bring efficiencies to our internal operations, increase online access for the public, and make it easier for us to provide the highest possible level of service to our taxpayers,” continued Mr. Fasano.

Grant Street’s PaymentExpress service for online e-payment and over-the-counter payments, as well as RenewExpress™ for online vehicle/vessel registrations, went live on April 22. In addition, Pasco County will continue to use Grant Street’s LienAuction® platform for online tax certificate auctions. Since 2007, the County has successfully auctioned over 80,000 tax certificates using LienAuction.
