Commonwealth of Massachusetts Selects PaymentExpress® as New Statewide ePayment Solution
November 23, 2015FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE
Today, Grant Street Group announced that the Commonwealth of Massachusetts has selected PaymentExpress as a new statewide electronic payment solution.
With this award, all agencies, departments, and executive offices within the Commonwealth will have the option to process payments with PaymentExpress. In addition, other government entities within the state — including counties, cities, public authorities, libraries, school districts, public hospitals, and public higher education institutions — will be able to take advantage of Grant Street’s PaymentExpress services via the statewide contract.
PaymentExpress, a secure and feature rich e-payment system, will allow Commonwealth clients to accept all major debit and credit card brands (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, American Express) for payments online, over the phone (IVR), via mobile or tablet devices, and in the office via point-of-sale kiosks. E-check payments will also be available online or over the phone. Robust reporting and easy integration with other systems enables PaymentExpress to immediately improve the overall payment and reconciliation process.
The selection follows a thorough competitive bid process headed by the Commonwealth’s Strategic Sources Servicing Team (SSST) which spanned six months. The SSST qualified Grant Street Group to provide electronic payments solutions and associated integration, noting that Grant Street demonstrated leading industry security standards and the ability to manage complex integration projects. Grant Street Group is certified on the Visa Global Registry of Service Providers and the MasterCard Compliant Service Provider lists, and is Payment Card Industry (PCI) Level 1 Certified.
“Massachusetts will become the first state government using PaymentExpress, which is a significant milestone for Grant Street Group,” said Ian Yorty, Chief Business Development Officer. “We applaud the Commonwealth’s Office of the Comptroller on managing such a large and complex RFP process in such a thorough and efficient manner.”
