Brevard County, Florida Now Live on TaxSys®

The Brevard County Tax Collector’s office is now live on TaxSys®, Grant Brevard CountyStreet Group’s state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system and integrated suite of tax collection software. Brevard County is the 18th Florida Tax Collector’s office to convert to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006. The Tax Collector’s office collects over $590 million in property taxes on more than 325,000 parcels each year.

“I am truly amazed with Grant Streets’ and my staffs’ ability to complete our implementation so quickly and the number of efficiencies that we’ve already realized, said Lisa Cullen, Brevard County Tax Collector. “It has been an absolute pleasure working with the entire [TaxSys] project team because of the knowledge and professionalism they exemplify,” continued Ms. Cullen.

Brevard County’s conversion to TaxSys took just over six months, beginning in February 2014 and concluding on August 18, 2014. This included the transition to PaymentExpress®, which allows the Tax Collector’s Office to accept all major credit cards and debit cards at each branch office and online, in addition to e-checks. In addition to PaymentExpress, the county has been live on RenewExpress, which allows customers to renew their vehicles and vessels online, since October 2013.
