March 2, 2015

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

santarosaGrant Street Group, the leading provider of web-based tax collection applications in Florida, announced today that the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector successfully completed its transition to TaxSys® a state-of-the-art, web-based tax collection and billing system. Home to over 150,000 residents in the Florida panhandle, the Santa Rosa County Tax Collector’s Office collects over $123 million in property taxes each year. This is the 19th successful conversion to TaxSys since the system was launched in 2006.

“Innovation is one of the key points of our mission statement. The conversion to TaxSys helps our office bring even more innovative services to the citizens of Santa Rosa County, such as tax bills by email, online business tax applications, and online DMV renewals,” said Stan Nichols, Santa Rosa County Tax Collector. “The conversion couldn’t have been smoother and we appreciate all the hard work from Grant Street Group’s team,” continued Mr. Nichols.

Santa Rosa County’s conversion to TaxSys took just over six months, beginning in September 2014 and concluding on March 2, 2015. This included the transition to PaymentExpress®, which allows the Tax Collector’s Office to accept all major credit cards and debit cards at each branch office and online, in addition to e-checks. Along with PaymentExpress, the county also went live with RenewExpress, allowing customers to renew their vehicles and vessels online.

“Each implementation brings new functionality to TaxSys, truly making it an ever-evolving tax collection and billing system,” said Ian Yorty, Grant Street Group’s Director of Florida Business Development. “Santa Rosa is no exception – their talented staff brought a fresh perspective on what it means to provide superior customer service,” continued Mr. Yorty. “We’re very excited to have Santa Rosa join our growing list of TaxSys clients.”

Taxpayers can now make tax payments, sign up for e-billing, pay for vehicle registration renewals, and apply for/update business tax accounts online. To learn more, visit the tax collector’s website at http://www.srctc.com.
