Myles Harrington

Co-Chief Executive Officer

Myles is President and Co-Founder of Grant Street Group.

For the first 15 years of his professional career, Myles was an Investment Banker at both Wall Street and regional firms. He and Dan Veres, Co-CEO, founded Grant Street in 1995.

Myles received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his MBA from Carnegie-Mellon University.

Dan Veres

Co-Chief Executive Officer

Dan is Executive Vice President and Co-Founder of Grant Street Group.

Before joining with Myles Harrington to form Grant Street Advisors and Grant Street Group, he was an Associate Vice President at Wheat First Butcher Singer (now Wells Fargo) in the Pittsburgh public finance office. Dan has nearly 30 years of experience working with public sector officials in matters related to budget and finance, taxes, and e-payments.

Dan received his Master of Business Administration degree from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business, subsequent to his service as Aviator and Captain in the United States Army.

Fred Burnette

Chief Operating Officer

Fred joined Grant Street Group in 2000, became Chief Technology Officer in 2001, Chief Product Officer in 2012 and Chief Operating Officer in 2017. Fred led Grant Street’s efforts in drafting the initial functional requirements for TaxSys and subsequent design. He served as TaxSys Product Manager, managing the TaxSys team.

Prior to joining Grant Street, he served as a Consultant for Consumers Energy in Jackson, Michigan and as a Research Software Developer at Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) in Pasadena, California, where he received four NASA technical achievement awards.

Fred received his undergraduate degree in Computer Science from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute and a Master’s degree in Computer Science from the University of Southern California.

Pierre Denis

Chief Technology Officer

Pierre joined Grant Street Group in 2009 as a Software Developer on TaxSys and is now Chief Technology Officer.

Prior to joining Grant Street, Pierre was Senior Design & Development Manager at Barclays Global Investors in San Francisco, where he led an international team of 15 developers located in Sydney, Tokyo, Singapore, London, and San Francisco. During his four years at Barclays Global Investors, in addition to his Development Manager role, Pierre was responsible for the market data platform, from design to implementation. The market data platform is one of the most critical platforms at Barclays Global Investors, used throughout the investment process.

Prior to this, Pierre worked in other various roles and organizations, including Development Manager at Fotango in London (a subsidiary of Canon Europe) and as a Nuclear Power Plant Operator for Électricité de France (EDF). Pierre implemented his first commercial web site in 1997.

Pierre has an undergraduate degree from École Catholique des Arts et Metiers (ECAM) in France (a college that specializes in mechanics and thermodynamics). In addition, he has a Master’s degree in Engineering from École Nationale Supérieure d’Arts et Métiers (ENSAM) in France.

Bill Haskins

Chief Financial Officer

Bill joined Grant Street Group as Chief Financial Officer in June 1999.

Prior to joining Grant Street, he held financial positions at Fisher Scientific International since September 1998. From 1995 to 1998, he was Director of Finance at Tippins Incorporated. Before Tippins, he was Manager of Financial Planning at Black Box Corporation and the Carbide/Graphite Group. His experience includes two leveraged buyouts, a capital restructuring, and an initial public offering (IPO).

Bill received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Washington & Jefferson College and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh’s Katz Graduate School of Business. He is also a Certified Management Accountant (CMA).

Christen Long

Executive Vice President of Operations

Christen joined Grant Street Group in September 2013 as a Business Analyst and since that time she has served in a variety of roles with a focus in operations. Currently she is the Executive Vice President of Operations and is primarily responsible for internal operations associated with maintaining and growing the organization and ensuring operational excellence across Grant Street teams.

Prior to joining Grant Street, Christen worked as a Business Analyst for PNC in their Healthcare Operations department. Before her time at PNC, Christen was employed as a Research Assistant by the University of Georgia, working on projects focused in organizational theory and quantitative methodology.

Christen earned a Doctor of Philosophy degree and a Master of Arts in Sociology degree from the University of Georgia, as well as a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of William and Mary in Virginia.

Ian Yorty

Chief Business Development Officer

Ian joined Grant Street Group in January 2008 as the Director of Florida Business Development, and in 2013 became Chief Business Development Officer. Ian works out of Jupiter, Florida and oversees the company’s sales, marketing, and business development operations.

Prior to joining Grant Street, Ian worked for Miami-Dade County, Florida for ten years serving in various financial and management capacities including Assistant County Manager and as the County Tax Collector. As an Assistant County Manager, Ian oversaw a portfolio of departments including the Finance Department, Tax Collector’s Office, Property Appraiser’s Office, Office of the Chief Information Officer, Information Technology Department, and the Department of Cultural Affairs. In 2004, while serving as the County Tax Collector, Ian was one of the first Tax Collectors in the State of Florida to conduct the annual tax lien sale online using Grant Street’s LienAuction website. He also acted as one of the county’s lead negotiators for the development of a new Major League Baseball stadium for the Miami Marlins.

Ian served as a volunteer in the United States Peace Corps in Hungary. He received a degree in Political Science from the University of Missouri-Columbia and his Masters of Public Administration from Missouri State University.
